Great food and service. The menu here is different than most other places I have eaten...come and try things new to you.

Food menu extensive. I talked to waitress about my lactose intolerance and she seemed to understand.
I wasn't offered a drink until after I ordered. I explained I was having difficulty determining which items on the menu were either dairy or lactose free and she gave me time to study the menu.
She brought out a basket of cracker like bread with tamarind dip which is delicious.
Next up is a cracker ball filled with potatoes and herbs and a cool broth that goes inside.
Think "one bite, everyone knows the rules"
Delicious and spicy
Then I waited for aloo matar. Apparently I didn't realize it came with a cream sauce but my waitress came and told me and I asked for it without the cream sauce.
I wish more menus came with dairy earQnings or substitutes.
I the aloo came out with some balsammi rice . Not sure of the proper way to eat it but it is great.
But it is very noisy in here.
It has been a great pleasure and be worth your time to try. - John C.Ashville, OH410972Aug 13, 2023
Unassuming, clean, plebeian place with a ping pong table as you enter and strange barrier walls. There was only one other couple eating there when I arrived (3:30ish on a Sunday afternoon) and a couple of to go orders were picked up while I was there so it was mostly like private dining. The proprietor/server was prompt and helpful, even if there was some difficulty in communicating. The menu was clear and reasonably extensive. Prices were competitive to most restaurants today.
He asked how spicy I wanted my food. I like spicy and regularly use hot sauce. I asked for medium spicy, and my food made my nose run a bit and my eyes water a little. Those were good things!
Before my meal I was served a basket with round thin tortilla type wafer pieces in it I believe he said were made from chickpeas. They came with a sweet syrupy sauce I think made with tamerine ? Supposedly good for one's heart in addition to being tasty.
I had curried goat which came with white rice. The rice was the lightest and tenderest I have had anywhere. No stickiness, hardness, or mushiness. Excellent!
Goat, outside the US, is one of the most prevalent meats in the world. It was served chopped into mostly bite size hunks, bone, gristle and all. Some bites chewy some more tender. This is the way goat often is at Indian restaurants. It was flavorful and a filling serving.
I had garlic naan with it that was slightly crispy, warm and buttery.
If you need fancy ambiance and ethnic accents with fancy presentation it's not for you. If you want just down to earth casual "home cooking" type Indian fair you'll be happy, comfortable, full. I was. For under $20 with tip.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 1 - Sarah H.OH, OH03Dec 12, 2023
I called and placed a takeout order. The man I talked to, I'm assuming the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful. I got there a little bit early and had to wait on my food but I was able to sit at the bar and he gave me a glass of water.
The food was delicious! The vegetable samosas were incredible. I will say my significant other and I didn't realize until halfway through the meal that we were eating each other's food. So maybe they could've marked which entree was which. But nonetheless the food was tasty and definitely hit the spot.
10/10 I recommend eating here 100%Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - April S.OH, OH02Dec 18, 2023
Very good food- we always do takeout and it takes about 20-30 minutes to be ready. Nice ping-pong table.
