Doste Indian Cuisine

This place looks like it is a converted Dairy Queen. That's a pretty good start. They are about to rename the place brothers bar or something like that to try to appeal to more people.

Tikimasala a was great flavor with quality chicken. The sag was real good as well.

I always like good Indian food, and on my side of town, their cuisine is rather lacking. I was very happy to see Doste open here - this physical building has housed several restaurants over the last several years, all of which haven't made it very long at all.

I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening, the gentleman server was polite and friendly. The menu has many traditional Indian dishes, as well as Nepali offerings. Reasonable prices, too. After ordering their Chicken Korma, I was unable to sit and dine in, and when I informed the gentleman, he was happy to switch it to to-go containers.

The Chicken Korma was quite delicious. Not a sweet taste necessarily, and obviously not acidic (no tomatoes in any form are part of this), but maybe more on the savory side? A smooth creamy bled with the creamed cashew sauce, I enjoyed the flavors. The large chicken chunks could be more tender; more palatable equals more enjoyable, in my opinion. Plenty of perfectly cooked basmati rice.

Kudos to the folks that have taken up this chronically short-lived spot and turned it into a much needed Indian eatery for the far east side. I did notice a buffet serving table in the corner, and forgot to ask if they were offering that option yet, so I'd like to come check their's out when it's up and going.

First let me say I I just drove past so it was a Indian restaurant. Just decided to stop. I didn't hear anything about it. No binary told me however, once I got there a couple things. First, the customer service is not good at all or I would say not used to what I'm used to getting when I go to Indian restaurant.
On to the food I wouldn't take out. I ordered chicken Momo, a chicken and curry spinach dish. Sambosa and Shatt to emerge. The man was separate so I got plain man and roti. Most places the naan not here. Now on to the flavors of the food. Well, the flavors were dynamite and the rice was some of the best rice I've had in the last few years. Now the portions were extremely small but the flavors were really good. Because of the bad service and small portions I really want to give this place a two but because of the flavors I have to go 4. You might overlook the place and just drive by. But the flavors are all there along with perfect rice. It goes against everything I believe in. Bad service and small portions... But the flavors are bold and robust. Loved it . I don't want to try it again due to the poor service and small portions but the flavor.. wow

Food, flavors; everything was great. They just opened back up and were very welcoming.

There are a lot of new Asian food options in the Reynoldsburg market. All are exciting and offer different takes on classics. Dotse stands likely to corner the local delivery and takeout market as food was prepared properly and quickly. Packaging was ideal for the short drive. It would help to label the items as I mixed up the chicken Tikka and the chicken 65 (learn from my mistake, any item marked as spicy on their menu will feel like it is burning you on touch). Surprisingly it wasn't as spicy flavor wise as expected, even the Chicken 65. The samosas were packed with flavor. The chicken soup was fine. Looking forward to trying more menu items.They did an impressive job remodeling the interior of the space.

Decided to go with a friend who had been here previously and raved about it. Bathroom was dirty. Service was slow, and it took us about 30 minutes to get our food after ordering (despite being the only customers in the restaurant). The food was lacking flavor and spice. Everything seemed watered down. We were confused because my friend said it was a completely different experience the last time she went. At the end of our dinner, we found out that the restaurant is under new management. That explains our experience.

I have visited here 4 times total, the last time being in Christmas Day! Once you start enjoying Indian cuisine it is difficult to stop eating it! As someone new to all of the incredible spices, I go mild and life is great! I love the samosa chaat, chicken momo, vegetable biryani especially! Each of these are filling enough to be your meal, but you will want more. The service is excellent and you are treated very well here! Don't hesitate to come and enjoy some incredible food!

Amazing food and great service! Samosas and Naans were fresh and tasted really good , server always looking for what could we need , it's a calm place so family time is truly appreciated here , will come back again in the near future.

Parking is huge and plenty , price is fair considering portion size

First visit. Staff were quite attentive. Menu seemed pretty traditionally indian, with some Nepali dishes as well.
I picked 3 favorites to get a general feeling of the place.
1. Samosas. So my accompanying photo shows half of one of the potato and pea samosa...I started eating before I thought to photo my way thru the meal. The samosas were about 3 inch by 3 by 3 I would guess...maybe a bit smaller. They came with 2 dipping sauces...a sweet red one which was pleasantly sweet, and a savory herbal one that had a pleasant background touch of heat. I enjoyed them.
2. Mango lassi. This was delicious. It was just mango, yogurt, and a bit of honey. Some places add crushed or shaved ice. This glass did not...and I was quite appreciative on this hot day.
3. Tandoori shrimp. So here is my honest reaction. Lately I have been scaling back on spice level due to health issues. So I ordered this as mild. I should have tried medium! But it was delicious. Also, I misunderstood and thought this would come with rice and naan. It didn't, and in all likelihood I wouldn't have had room for it, so that was fine. The green peppers and onions that are a part of this had a spectrum of cooking levels. Some were lightly cooked and had a crunch, others were charred a little, and a few were quite charred. I found that to be a great combination.
One word of warning. This comes out on a fajitas platter with a wedge of lemon. The lemon was very warm...use your fork to pick it up, then squeeze as much juice over the shiny as you can . So great.

I encourage you to try this location out . Try some milder dishes if you are "afraid" of indian food.
