Older Denny's. Ambiance is okay at best. Service was okay. Food was fine. Off street parking.

Food was good. Service and atmosphere were bad Ordered all you can eat pancakes. Took 25 minutes to make 3 pancakes. When they asked if I wanted another plate I said yes. Took 20 minutes for them to make two pancakes. There was no one else besides me and my friend and one other person in there. Would not recommend coming here.

When I lived in Rochester, there was only one Denny's. I never visited it. L
The city now has two Denny's locations. This one is the newer one, between Miracle Mile Shopping Center and the old TGI Friday's, which is now Wild Bill's Sports Saloon.
I visited Rochester on my final full day in Minnesota. I was ready for a late lunch and didn't have a clue where I wanted to go. Part of me wanted Olive Garden, but checking out Denny's seemed perfect.
I parked steps away from the main entrance. I saw a man put up a sign. I wasn't sure whether he was closing up or what. I read it and the restaurant was closing at 8 pm. I got there hours before this time, so I was good.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by a polite man. There were a few customers dining in. I got a booth.
I dig a good value menu. I settled for the triple play breakfast. It comes with three eggs, your choice of three slices of bacon or three sausage links, and three buttermilk pancakes. I got my eggs overeasy, went with the sausage links, and ordered a Diet Coke.
My drink came first. It hit the spot. I needed a drink.
My food came out pretty fast. I was so happy.
Everything was yummy. The eggs were perfectly done, as were the sausage links. I had a huge craving for pancakes. They were fluffy and yummy with the syrup.
I got my bill placed on my table. When I looked at it, it wasn't mine. It was for two burgers and two glasses of tap water. My meal was $8 before adding my drink.
When I approached the counter, I pointed out that I didn't get the correct bill. The man apologized. I said that I love burgers, but I wouldn't have ordered two today, which made him laugh.
He managed to find my bill. I paid with a credit card. I left a tip and thanked the man.
I used the women's washroom before driving an hour north back to Eagan. It was cold, but clean. The washroom stall was long, so you could fit a shopping cart in front of you in one if you wanted to. It was that roomy.
I had a good experience here. Other than the bill mix-up, I'd return for some good, cheap eats here.

Service was terrible, had to ask for water, butter, to go containers and every time the waitress looked at me like it was an inconvenience. Food was mediocre at best, toast was so hard I could barely bite it, definitely will not be dining here again.

I had the french toast today, not very impressive. Shame they don't have the grand slam anymore. The bacon was cooked well though not very warm.

My food was amazing today! Tried some of the new items and they were so good. My server Maria was dressed so cute for St Patty's Day & she was fast and so kind! I sat at the high top and watched basketball. Thanks for an awesome Friday visit!

In search of the elusive birthday breakfast got us dining at Denny's. But gone are the days of the free Grand Slam breakfast and in with the $4 Everyday Value Slam off the value menu. No frills breakfast of two eggs (cooked to order), 2 sausages or bacon and 2 pancakes. Simple, doable breakfast fare. Light on the flavor, heavy on the ordinary. The overall feel and look of the restaurant is one of seeing its better days with torn booth seats, water stained ceiling tiles and light fixtures. Waitress did her job. #morselbliss

Was at the south one last sunday. The waitress was horribly rude and awful. she only had two booths and no one was around so i sat in a booth by the other people. She got really mad that i SEATED MYSELF! Who cares. We went to Perkins..great service, nice staff and better food.

This place brings back so many memories! I love that nothing has changed about it over the years!! I always end up coming here late night for breakfast. Can't go wrong with the classics - pancakes, hash browns, bacon, sausage & eggs!!
My friend order the burger which was also delicious. I always know what to expect when I come here, so I love it! Definitely a Rochester classic! :)
The service here is not great...especially super late at night but I just look past it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
