Omg was the best experience ever we came across border to get Miss Pinkertons teeth cleaned. Dr Paulaa was so professional and accommodating, compassionate the whole staff was stellar. Price as excellent as service...we can't wait to go back with our other dogs. And also go back for lobster and tacos

We live in California but we drive to Mexico to get our dogs teeth cleaned here as it is so much more affordable than the states. The vet provides great service and I feel they are trustworthy.

As an owner of three dogs, I jumped on an invitation to accompany my friend to take his dog TJ for a medical exam and treatment for arthritis. I hadn't visited Rosarito in some years and I was curious about veterinarian services in Mexico.
We left from the IE and arrived in about two hours to the veterinarian's office. Upon arriving to the clinic, we were immediately welcomed by staff and Dr. Paola. The staff were very helpful and even showed us how to connect our phones to receive free WI-Fi. The Clinica was clean, modern and the lobby has many healthy pet food options and supplies.
I asked the doctor if they service other types of pets and she said the Clinica only works with dogs and cats. Waiting in the lobby, I noticed a steady stream of dog and cat owners seeking Dr. Paola's services.
Our patient TJ was a little bit tired from the drive and seemed eager and even happy to be examined. Dr. Paola was very thorough and compassionate handling TJ. After the examination, she took TJ to the back for lab work and further treatment. We left TJ in Dr. Paola's care and went to get some breakfast at a nearby Birrieria.
After we returned, we noticed TJ was happier and more energetic. Dr. Paola prescribed an ongoing medical treatment that my friend felt very comfortable with. My friend estimated he saved several hundreds of dollars for the exam, lab work, shots and prescriptions by taking TJ to Clinica Veterinarian Albeitar.
The wait to cross the border was under two hours and we arrived home around 4 pm. More importantly, TJ was happy to be back home and to continue in his role as mans' best friend. There is free parking in front of the office.

We needed a local vet to check out a young pregnant stray cat we took in. We got very lucky in picking this veterinarian and will continue to use the doctor here. Kind, caring and very compassionate. A but less than two weeks later and little Neka has four beautiful kittens.

Our little stray we took in one and a half weeks ago. Now a sweet momma of four.

Been here before for flea meds, food and some grooming but today Rosie got in a scuffle which left her with a limp and a bite on her leg.
The Doctor at Albeitar examined Rosie and provided a detailed report of her condition, meds and how to care for the wounds.
After X-rays, thankfully no broken bones or cartilage damage- just a bruised ego and some flesh wounds for Rosie.
5 stars for the excellent service, communication, and care!

Dr. Paola is so very kind and I feel so safe with her handling my dogs. I took my little pug girl Mei to another vet because I had to. Mei ended up passing away and she was kind enough to keep her body at her facility and she contacted the crematory for us because they don't speak English. Paola you're amazing and I will be forever grateful to you. Thank you

I went back a second time for a second teeth cleaning and grooming and they are the best! My dogs were safe and their teeth were sparkling! My older chihuahuas plaque came back the fastest and I had to go back at 7 months. Really can't beat the care for the price! They're my go to vet! They changed their name recently to Alviatar Veterinary Clinic. Super friendly, super nice, and super affordable! Highly recommend for all your pet needs!

I had a dog that was attacked by another dog and I took him to the vet for stitches. He was the only one open, it was early in the morning and the vets I usually go to were closed. I had heard good things about him, and was very happy when he was open that early. He stitched up the dog very nicely and I picked him up, happy the dog was okay. 4 days later one of my vaccinated puppies got sick so I took him the same vet, since they had been so helpful before, and dropped him off. I had 4 other dogs in my car because I was heading over the border to drop them off with adopters and they said they would call me when they figured out what was wrong with him. They did call me and let me know he had parvo, which shocked me because I had never had any dogs with parvo in my home, and he was vaccinated. By the time they called me I had crossed the border with the dogs and I asked if I should bring them back or take them to the adopters. He said it was okay to take them to the adopters because they were not having any symptoms however my understanding is that parvo is still contagious at that stage, so I called the adopters and explained and let them know that I was taking them to the vet to have them tested. 3 of the dogs did test positive for parvo (I had them tested at Dr. Leon's) and I left them at the vet where they were tested. 2 days later I was able to pick up the brother of the puppy I had taken to Albeitar. Because the dogs were vaccinated they had very mild symptoms that resolved quickly (turns out 6 of the dogs at my house ended up with parvo, all mild symptoms because all were vaccinated, they didn't even need vet care). I picked up the other 2 puppies from Dr. Leon's 2 days after the brother was and all 3 were very happy, healthy, clean and bouncing around in their crates. I picked up Nilla from Albeitar's clinic the day before I picked up the 2 puppies and was shocked at his condition. He was still sick but not with parvo. The vet there told me he had kennel cough, when I said that no dogs were coughing in my yard, he got defensive and said they didn't get it there. The dog was extremely lethargic, he had feces on him (like they had tried to clean him up but couldn't get it all off) and as it turned out, he had pneumonia, not kennel cough. The bill for all 3 dogs to be treated at Dr. Leon's was almost the same amount as the bill for Albeitar for one dog, it was over $300. Also, Albeitar's clinic charged me $35 the following day for extra money they claim was owed because they didn't like the exchange rate my bank gave. So people, for the same price, Dr. Leon gave me back 3 clean, bouncy, healthy puppies, Albeitar gave me back a dog with feces on it, and sick with pneumonia. I have a feeling the parvo came from there too but that's something I can't say for sure. This particular puppy had never been outside my yard, my friend had gone to my vet over a month earlier for their 2nd set of vaccines and brought them to me, and this puppy was not due to be adopted for another 3 weeks so had not been back to the vet to be fixed yet. I believe the puppy who needed stitches was exposed there and brought it to my yard but as I said, there is no way to say for sure.
BTW-2 stars because the guy was super knowledgeable about dog behavour and did a great job on the dog that needed stitches but I will not go back there. This was obvious neglect. If I had gotten back a clean puppy who was bouncy and happy like the ones from Dr. Leon's, this would never have been an issue, even with the extra charge they thought they deserved because they didn't like the exchange rate, but misdiagnosing pneumonia, which he HAD to have gotten from there was wrong. I expected way better from Albeitar. I know the americans love him, but if your dog has a serious health problem, take it somewhere else. I did not see Dr. Paola, I saw a male vet so I don't know how she is, but I can say the staff don't care about the dogs, otherwise my puppy would have been cared for as well as the staff at Dr. Leon's cares for their dogs. In an area where finding a good vet is difficult, this was extremely disappointing since I am always excited when I find a good vet. Dr. Leon's, EcoVet and Dr. Carlos Loya are my goto vets and have never given me back any animals that were not clean, healthy and happy. If you're looking for a vet in Rosarito, try one of those.

After being disappointed with another veterinarian, I took my sick cat Boots to this clinic and WOW, what a difference. Paola quickly correctly diagnosed the problem and within two weeks my Boots was back to his happy, normal playful, loving self. Very modern, clean and professional clinic.
