This may be the worst restaurant in Mexico. The food is absolutely terrible. The service was great and the atmosphere was amazing. They just need the food to be nearly as good. I ordered the $25.00 US dollar hamburger because the waiter said it was amazing. The first one came out so under cooked it was still cold. The fries were inedible they were so cold. I think they must have been cooked days ago. I will add pictures of my second hamburger. I didn't get pictures of my first. The first one was even cooked less. They tried to tell me this was medium.
This place could be amazing if they fired all the kitchen staff and obviously the managers and started with a new menu and someone that can cook.
Good lord any one could run this restaurant and make a gazillion dollars with just average food. They would do better serving McDonalds. If I owned this place there would be a line outside for 1/2 a mile. Every hotel in playa would recommend this place with the stunning views and atmosphere.Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - D D.Los Angeles, CA2229Mar 7, 2023
Horrible food. Overpriced. Cave is cool but more like a Tourist trap. Needs major upgrades but lots of potential if management executes.

Just Amazing!! The restaurant was breathtaking and the service was 5 stars!! We saw reviews of people complaining of price here but we had no complaints!
We had a special night we can never experience anywhere else in the world!
A must go for couples but its not for kids unless you want your brats ruining a romantic dinnerHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Enrique D.Glendale, CA02May 21, 2023

Food is good not great but good.
There was a gnat in my bisque but I feel like I can't fault them for that because you know...cave.
However the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous, which made the whole dining experience feel extra special.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 22, 2021
Excellent atmosphere and ambiance! The 5 of us came in celebration of my daughter's 21st birthday. Dining in the cave was an absolute excellent experience and the food was very good. My party and I had salmon, steak and burger and we all enjoyed our meals. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Gorgeous photo opts. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I think our waiters name was Reynaldo he was great and attentive. This is a must go experience when in Playa Del Carmen. You will miss out if u don't try this place when in Playa Del Carmen!

You go to this place because you want to eat in a cave. That part is cool (although it was actually a bit warm and muggy). The food was ok, but not great and it was expensive. I don't mind paying a lot of money for a fine dining experience, but the value wasn't there overall. Service was very good.

100% Recommend. Host and Server were lovely. However Moscow Mule drink was not good, only thing that we did not like. Other than that food was amazing especially the bone marrow

We were so excited to have dinner here for our family vacation, and it was terrible the hostess told us we had to have a minimum check of $200 to eat there which was fine our check ended up being $400 and it was absolutely insulting she would say that. The filet was undercooked and no flavor, I let the server know and he brought me a little grill and had me cook it myself because apparently there kitchen is too far. This place was a huge disappointment and if it were not for the ambiance which was hot and humid, just nice for pics this place would not be open. The only positive thing was the drinks were great.

Where to begin... this place could be amazing and has so much potential ! The cave is mesmerizing and the different vignettes are beautiful.
The service was good. Not amazing.
The food .....
The appetizer selections are horrible.
The entree selection is so so.
We had the filet that was ordered med rare ( side note :Texans - remember you are not in Texas so do not expect a real filet. ) served medium. A burger that we ordered medium was served RAW, TWICE.
The waiter insisted that the meat was fine both times.
It was still cold.
This place has SO a much potential. The owners need to hire a real chef and put out food that is equally amazing as the beautiful cave.
The waiter admitted to us at the end that the food is awful ! Go for the cave - have cocktails and maybe a dessert ! Make sure you tour the whole cave.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
