Very quaint outdoor, grab and go style food service. Plenty of parking, near downtown and the freeway. No seating available. But very quick service to take home. The line was long(so you know it's good) but they go to us super quickly, tops 10 mins. We ordered the tacos combo, the burrito and horchata. We got two carne asadas, cabbage, mild salsa, lemon, and ordered cream cheese (this is the ticket right here) in the combo along with pinto beans and rice--and it was SO GOOD! The burrito had grilled beef, extra cream cheese, rice and beans along with the cabbage and it was also really yummy--I topped it with salsa. Horchata is always a must with Mexican food so I had to have that too and definitely a good choice!

Beans aren't refried, and they put tomatoes on EVERYTHING. Lady working cash register was very unpleasant, and made me uncomfortable. Also tables would be beneficial to eat the food while it's warm.

I used to go here a lot when I was younger and was super excited to go back when I got into town to visit but unfortunately it is not the same quality definitely taste it like cheap tacos

This place has been around for years, ever since I was a little kid. They were closed down for a few months/years at one point though because I heard they had failed some sort of inspection, which could have been a health inspection.
Their prices have hardly gone up, and I think it's because the volume of people that they serve is high and so they are able to make a profit even when their prices are so low. I think one of their best dishes is the crispy taco, which is still a corn tortilla but put on the burner until it is crispy. However, if you are in a rush, I recommend that you do not get the crispy taco since it takes a while to prepare.
If you get the standard 2 tacos, you'll pay around $2 for a meal (if you add cheese) and you'll get the food in less than 5 minutes. The salsa could be more flavorful and less watery but overall, the food here is great considering the price that you pay. This place has definitely been a staple in the area for as long as I can remember.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Ruben A.San Francisco, CA01Dec 16, 2023

Found many other competitors to compare to with time. Last I had the burrito here, the tortilla was stale and the filling tasted old. Super disappointed! Do better. You had a good thing going a few years Al Rico. Shit happens but I hope y'all get it together because what I was served recently...was NOT it. It was disrespectful . . .

2 soft street tacos for $1.45
I decided to splurge and get the crispy tacos. I've been driving by this place for a lil bit and I finally decided to try. This is all take away or eat in your car. I had crispy tacos with carne adobada. I was pretty happy with my choice. It's so much easier to get them here than it is to make them! Hah, I'm loving this lil place. Looking forward to trying more items but I think I'm kinda hooked on the crispy tacos for now. By the way crispy tacos cost a bit more but worth the splurge if you like them crispy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Victoria M.Fresno, CA17133Jun 18, 2023
Some of the best tacos in town. Ive been having these since the were 2/$1 back when I was a kid. Now as an adult I still enjoy them and best part is the price. There about $1 each now. Which given the economy we live in now its not bad at all. Ive only ever had the tacos, not sure about the test of the food. The service is always good never had a bad encounter. Area is ok too me but then again I grew up on this side of town.

Definitely didn't taste like I remember. Very long line and the food was way below average.
