I am a loyal Marriott consumer and I typically like the Aloft properties, especially when I need to stay within a budget. They tend to be hip and modern and nicely appointed. I was first impressed upon arrival since there was ample parking. Ivan at the front desk was very helpful and efficient. However, when I went up the slow elevator, I could tell the hotel was an older building that was rebranded. The room itself was large and the bed was comfortable but not very modern. The bathroom looked like it belonged in a third world country! Peeling cement, dirty shower with no soap holder in the shower to hold my own toiletries. I wore my flip flops to shower, just in case. Broken hooks and the shower just poured out onto the floor. The staff was why I gave them 3 stars. Darius was also very helpful when I bailed out a day before I ended up being charged $360 for the night.

Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary hotel. The Health Inspectors need to come see this place. There was literal feces found in the hallway! The entire hotel looks like it's never been vacuumed. Gel nail polish chips all over the "lobby" seats. The hallways have dirt all over them, and along with the rooms. Dirt and stains. There is absolutely no way the floors have been vacuumed.
The bathrooms on the second floor were filthy, blood stains, feces all over. No toilet paper, paper towels or soap.
When I alerted the front desk of the feces he didn't seem shocked. Then again when I alerted them of the bathroom. Again, the staff didn't seemed phased.

The rooms itself look like they belong out of a prison. The bathroom is literally just concrete floor painted with epoxy like a garage would have. Towels are thin, worn with holes and have stains and hair on them.
The only outlets close to the bed are behind the mattress which makes zero sense.
The entire hotel has a dirty stale cigarette smell.

Supposedly there is a bar and breakfast available. However, due to the lack of basic cleaning across the entire hotel- I wouldn't bother with the food.

I utilized the staircase because the elevators were slow and there were only two- which had to be used for staff and guest to access the entire property. Beneath the staircase was clothes, and personal belongs. It clearly looked like someone was living under it.

The GM- Galvan is very unprofessional, has zero sense of customer service. He's definitely in the wrong field of business.

Awful, avoid! I'm a loyal Marriott customer and was shocked at the low quality of this property and service. Hotel room decor was dated, worn, and shower was disgusting - essentially painted drywall (see picture.) Breakfast in onsite bar/restaurant gross, tasteless, overpriced. I had also arranged meeting space which was was far from satisfactory: Day 1 - I had to go to the front desk to get the key, the fridge with beverages and bottled water not stocked nor was coffee/tea set up, room was warm not cooled, no instructions for using the TV for presentations, 2 markers w/low ink for a whiteboard on a 2 prong wooden easle that kept falling so we had to prop on one of the chairs and request more markers that worked and more colors. Day 2 - room not prepared with paper/pens or coffee tea, stocked with bottled water and had to call front desk 3 times from 8a-10a regarding our coffee/tea delivery, only to learn at noon check out there was no coffee in the entire hotel, wow - how does that happen and also not be communicated?
And the meeting room was on Floor 5 among hotel guest rooms - there was not a public bathroom and had to go to Floor 2 (or your room)!!! At my request the Dir of Sales removed the meeting charges for Day 2. Communication with this hotel was spotty from the beginning, should have paid attention to gut instinct. Also I had to contact Marriott Bonvoy Customer Service for assistance to get the hotel points correctly appointed but this too has been difficult.

It is very tired looking. The toilet was so loud we couldn't use it at night in fear of waking people! The a/c didn't work so we didn't sleep well and sweat from around 11pm to 8am. There was a beeping noise every 30 minutes that we couldn't figure out where it's coming from. The tv never worked without my hubby having to fiddle with the wiring. The room is dirty. Dirty door, stained floor, dirty bathroom, and worn out old look. The midcentury couch and 2 chairs in our room were okay, but everything else needs attention!!! Very disappointing for the price of a suite here and not what you'd expect being in Scottsdale. Other Alofts we've stayed at in many other states are much nicer, young, fun, hip and trendy looking, but not this one. Almost forgot how paper thin the walls are here as well. And boy was my hubby not happy to be told upon check in that breakfast is from 6:30 to 9:30 on the 2nd floor. Came off as it was part of his perks. He went there and if you can call it a breakfast sandwich it was so bad he only ate half and discovered he was being charged $9 for it :-( Definitely will not stay here again and do not recommend. Crap, I almost forgot, we are here for work and when hubby went to print stuff there was no paper and he couldn't find a single person anywhere to help him!

The other reviews are accurate. The showers disgusting. The service is subpar. When I went to grab my coffee this morning, they were out of creamer, which the attendant seem to think was just fine. He asked me to go to the first floor and talk to the front desk manager to see if he can get some. He did, which was great, but they had no half-and-half or any other fresh options available, just creamers. If they had reacted as they should've with a sense of urgency, understanding that this was a big deal to not have creamers for your guests in the morning I would've been OK. But they were very nonchalant and basically asked me to fix their problem. I won't be staying here again.

      This place is absolutely disgusting
1 star is to good for this place
the front desk staff are completely rude and untrained
Had to call multiple times to get towels, never came ! Took from housekeeping cart was faster after an hour and half wait.
This hotel is a joke and absolutely disgusting!! The shower floor was painted and if you took longer than a 10 minute shower, your feet were covered in grey paint flakes.

Definitely not worthy of Bon Voy status.
It appears it was a red roof in and just painted with a Marriot sign.
Bars were so aloud needed ear plugs to sleep on the 3rd floor.
      Horrible stay!

You get what you pay for, which is the bare minimum. With that said, the hotel was satisfactory enough for me since I stayed for a couple of nights and wasn't in my room much.

I loved that I had a massive room, and my bed was comfy. I could not get ambient temperature in the room, so I kept feeling hot and cold throughout the night.

The shower head had good water pressure and heating, but if you're not careful, the water can be borderline scalding. The shower itself was meh. It had a hard water line at the bottom of the shower, and the sealant at the seams was cracked. I found the complimentary toiletries by the sink very unusual. They didn't match the brand of shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower, so I felt they were left over toiletries from a previous guest.

I could not get the wi-fi to connect instantly. It took me several tries to get connected, including constant refreshing just for the Aloft website to load.

An outlet by my bed didn't work correctly. I used this plug to charge my laptop overnight, but only to find that my laptop wasn't charged at all. My bad for not checking it was charging before I went to bed, but I would expect functioning outlets at the very least.

Staff members were very friendly and helpful, though! Great hospitality is important.

Breakfast options are very limited, food at the bar usually Horrible, noisy, and not the cleanest hotel. Breakfast prices were incorrect stating $5 for a breakfast sandwich that was actually $7. Stayed here prior to it becoming Aloft and it was much cleaner, food was great for breakfast, and cleaner.

Cute hotel. Very friendly staff. Location is everything I mean you have any type of food walking distance and coffee places and bars I mean perfect place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They too have a bar second floor. Just a great hotel!
