I've visited five other new car dealers in the area, and these folks were the most laid back about the purchase and test drive. I walked in, asked to test out a C30 with a stick, and without so much as batting an eyelash, (or asking for my license), I was handed the keys to one of the 250 C30 Polestar limited editions in the US to test alone. Other dealers could gain quite a bit from behaving this way. In comparison, I spent what felt like years of my life at another dealer twiddling my thumbs and giving away copious personal information to test drive a garden-variety Golf.

For the past three years, I've had these folks take care of non-routine maintenance, and apart from the limited availability of loaner cars (I live and work over an hour away), I have no complaints. Ordering parts from them is painless as well.

It's not so much that a new 2023 Volvo XC40 was an undeniable piece of junk, it's that the dealer neither understood why it had so many problems and was utterly ambivalent about fixing them. Battery died multiple times overnight, though housed in a heated garage. Everything tied to the main computer became dysfunctional. Heater stopped working suddenly while driving. And the response of Almartin? "Cannot find anything wrong with the diagnostic machine." Diagnostic machine must have been made by Volvo as well.

Dumped car at a loss to get away from the POS, and the dealer.

I just leased a car from Almartin Volvo. I worked with Sam Faris and as someone new to car leasing he was fantastic. Sam was patient and walked me through the options and process. I never felt pressured and he was super informative. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly, but working with Sam was awesome. Would definitely recommend Almartin and Sam if you're looking for a Volvo!

Have had Volvo's since 1992! One of the reasons has been because this dealership has serviced us so well. They are honest, fair, thoughtful and accommodating. Can't imagine anything but a Volvo based on their service.

So I have a long story but the overall is do not bring your car here for work, they don't know what they are doing and I had to tell the head technician how to fix my car and after they tried to screw me with a fabricated bill. So here's the story.

I had my car towed their for starting issues, they told me it was the throttle bottle valve which I insisted it was not because I had replaced it myself already. They insisted and $1000 later they gave me my car back. It was stuttering and driving horribly right out of the driveway so I brought it back and they said "the new throttle body we put on is bad" So they replaced the same part AGAIN. Well as I said it didn't fix anything yet I was stuck with this $1000 bill I reluctantly paid. Talking with the head technician he said he rewired some things and had no idea why it was having starting issues. So I decided to do my own research on the internet and found a common problem with starting issues is a clogged fuel pump. So I brought it in again and asked them to change the fuel pump and I thought that would fix it. They insisted it was not the problem but said they would replace it(even though volvo forums say this is a common problem, you would think a head technician knows this or could use a computer)

So the service guy approaches me sheepishly and hands me my keys and says "Well it was the fuel pump, you're all set" and hands me my keys. I say "Ok how much do I owe?" He responds "It is all taken care of, your all set" I say thanks the desk lady smiles at me while hearing this conversation and I leave realizing they were probably embarrassed they had to rely on a kid with a smart phone to fix what their head tech could not figure out. So a few months pass and they send me a $150 bill for the fuel pump. I call and talk to the service guy that told me I was all set and he denies saying that. This place is a joke, take your care to a real mechanic that will actually spend some time with your car and not just replace things until they figure it out. Typical Stealership.

I find it very interesting that every time I bring a vehicle into Almartin Volvo, they never can find the real problem with it. However, conveniently, I always seem to pay near $1000 to have the car fixed. Customer service in the service department is the worst. After owning at least 8 Volvo's in my life I will never buy another one in Vermont. If you have one, I recommend going to the Swedish Pit to have your Volvo serviced. At least they know what they are doing.

I went to Almartin to purchase a brand new S40. They had one in the showroom and said it would be "too much of a hassle" to drive it out to let me test drive so they said they would let me test an older model.

First of all, I was not looking to Purchase an older model. Second, it was like 5 year's old! It was a used car, it may have even had a cassette player in it! The inside was gross. The dashboard from from the ice ages. I drove it around the lot and took it back. Waste of my time. I went to Acura down the block and testdrove a real car. Purchased right away. Good Luck selling your junk cars Almartin!

The best car buying experience ever. Larry M. my sales agent was truly awesome. Gave me a unbelievable deal with no hidden games. I drove 4 hours from Boston to purchase my car and it was well worth the trip. Everyone at the dealership was super friendly and Larry even called my the next day to make sure I arrived home safely. If I lived in Vermont I would take my new car there for service, but hopefully I can find another dealership with the same high standards as Almartin. Great job guys!!!

I have tried so hard to give their service department the benefit of the doubt over the past few years but it just keeps getting worse.

      1. Abrupt - borderline rude service reps.

      2. Woman who has job of calling to check on quality of service is defensive with any feedback you give.

      3. Bring your car in for something simple and who knows what other, totally unrelated issues will suddenly appear?

      - lack of competition keeps them in business.
