Travertino Alabastrino is a natural travertine quarried in Italy. This material is 3cm (1-1/2") thick with a vein cut pattern and is unfilled. It features a relatively uniform color and background of brown, tan, and beige. Vein cut produces waves of various colors and fleuri cut has a softer, muted appearance.

Where do you get your material?  Why is it discounted so heavily?

We provide stone slabs to contractors for commercial projects.  The problem is that these jobs generally result in relatively small quantities of leftover material that usually aren’t enough for a different commercial construction project.  In other cases, a customer ordered the wrong material, or the end client later wanted a different color or pattern.

As a result, we have an entire warehouse full of leftover and overstock material, ranging from partial or single slabs all the way to entire lots of quality stone.  In order to free up limited warehouse space, we are giving deep discounts on the material to get it sold.

How do you handle delivery?

Once you’ve chosen the materials you want and paid online, we will be in touch to discuss delivery. We can deliver anywhere in the Houston area quite easily, and we routinely coordinate shipping of material across the country. Freight costs are not reflected in the price you see online, so you will have to pay for shipping separately. If you have a suitable truck, feel free to come pick it up at no additional cost.

Can you assist with installation?

We have relationships with several contractors who can provide you with a direct quote for your job.  Contact us to discuss, and we’ll put you in touch with them.

How accurate are your images?

The pictures you see were taken at the time the material arrived on site or more recently in the supplier’s warehouse. Due to the nature of the materials, patterns and grains differ from slab to slab, so there will be some variation.

Is this material food grade/safe for kitchens?

All of it is safe for kitchens.  In certain cases, the material in question was used in the construction of a restaurant, so it’s perfectly safe for use in a residential kitchen.  However, certain kinds of material aren’t hard enough for use as a countertop.

Do you offer volume discounts?

If you’re looking to buy a large lot of stone or multiple slabs of material, we’re certainly open to discussing a volume discount.  Contact us to discuss.
