Las Alcaravaneras Beach, with an extension of more than half a kilometre, is located next to the city marina, bordered by a promenade and flanked by two of the sailing clubs of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The quietness of its waters, sheltered by the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas, allows the practise of many water sports in the sea.

It is one of the best port beaches in Spain and the quality of its waters is endorsed by periodical checks. On the sand a continuous sport activity takes place. The beach has a beach-volley high performance centre as well as many water sports are practised.

As for its facilities, it has a rescue post, toilets, showers, accesses for people with reduced mobility, and a playground. It is very close to Mesa y López commercial area.
