Clipboard works normal on Chrome, notepad, regular applications. But, it doesn't work on Windows Apps from the Microsoft store.

I'm using Windows 10 Home version 22H2, Build 19045.3324.

Here are some examples of the apps from microsoft store where the copy and paste functionality does not work:

_Capture6

_Capture3

_Capture7

But outside of this apps, let's say the regular old Notepad program (pretty much everything under C:\Program Files ), Copy and Paste DOES work:

I have this same issue but it happens across all applications where the copy and paste wouldn't work. Even within file explorer I cannot copy and paste files. However this is what fixed my issue. Go to an empty space on your computer, right click, and click on refresh. Do it a few more times just to be sure. Copy and paste should work now. Though it is not guaranteed to work for everyone.

    Hi Alex,

If clipboard function (copy or paste) is not working on Microsoft apps or Windows apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store or from a reliable resource on Windows 10 Home version 22H2 (Build 19045.3324), you can try the following solutions to resolve the issue:

    1. Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, simple issues can be resolved by restarting your computer. Try restarting and see if the copy and paste functionality starts working again.
    2. Check Clipboard History: If you have Clipboard History enabled, there might be a conflict causing the copy and paste issue. You can try disabling Clipboard History by going to "Settings" > "System" > "Clipboard" and turning off "Clipboard history."
    3. Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your operating system is up to date. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" and check for any pending updates. Install them if available.
    4. Check for App Updates: If the apps are from the Microsoft Store, ensure that they are up to date. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the three dots in the top-right corner, and select "Downloads and updates" to check for app updates.
    5. Run Windows Troubleshooter: Use the built-in Windows Troubleshooter to diagnose and fix common issues. Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot" and run the "Windows Store Apps" troubleshooter.
    6. Check Antivirus/Firewall: Sometimes, security software can interfere with copy and paste functionality. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall and check if copy and paste works. If it does, you might need to adjust your security software settings.
    7. Restart Windows Explorer: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. Find "Windows Explorer" in the list, right-click it, and select "Restart." This can sometimes refresh the system and resolve minor issues.
    8. Check Group Policy Settings: If you're in a corporate environment, group policies might be affecting copy and paste functionality. Check with your IT department to ensure group policies are not causing the issue.
    9. Create a New User Account: Sometimes, user profile corruption can lead to issues. Create a new local user account and see if copy and paste works in that account. If it does, your original user profile might be corrupted.
    10. Perform a System File Check: Run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair corrupted system files. Open a Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command: sfc /scannow.
    11. Perform a Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to start Windows with minimal startup programs and services. This can help identify if a third-party application is causing the issue.
    12. Reset or Repair Apps: If the issue persists, you can try resetting or repairing the problematic apps. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "Apps & features," select the app, and choose "Advanced options." You can then reset or repair the app.

    Please update with your findings.

    Thanks!

Am using Windows 10 Pro (19045.3693), where am facing the same issue in my Netbeans Application for the past months....

I think some recent update would have introduced this issue.

Restarting the application fixes this issue... But think of restarting the application for every Ctrl+C ?!!

    Very annoying.
