5 injured in motorhome crash on I-84, driver cited for unlawful lane change

HERMISTON, Ore. — Five people were hurt earlier this month when the driver of a motorhome crashed on Interstate 84 while trying to change lanes between two semi-trucks.

The crash was reported on May 5 along I-84 near Hermiston, Oregon State Police confirmed with KATU.

Dash cam video from the semi shows the motorhome driver try to pass on the right before making a last-second lane change, clipping the front of the tractor.

The driver then loses control and the RV flips, separating in the roadway.

An Oregon State Police spokesperson said five people suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Troopers cited the RV driver for an unlawful lane change.
