Featuring an all-new engine (replacing the one used in five titles since FIFA 2003), FIFA 06 features new controls and gameplay, the most noticeable being more animations and more detailed ball and ball physics and animation. of the player, removal of the unpopular Off the Ball Controls implemented in their 2004 version, and redesign of the free kick interface so that it is no longer obvious whether the player has decided on a shot on goal or a pass to an attacker.
