No deja de ser sorprendente entonces que sea el año de 1964 en el que se registra el primer “aeronato” de nuestra aerolínea. El hecho ocurrió a bordo de un avión C-47 en un vuelo entre Tame y Arauca, y fue tan grande la sensación, que sus padres decidieron bautizar al niño con el nombre de Carlos Efraín Sateno Romero Prieto. Hoy es un adulto de 49 años.
It is somewhat surprising, that 1964 is the year in which is recorded the first “aeronato” of our airline. The incident occurred aboard a C-47 on a flight between Tame and Arauca and the feeling was so great that the parents decided to baptize the child with the name Carlos Efrain Sateno Romero Prieto. Parece mágico, pero transcurridos once años después de ese suceso, en otro avión C-47 y cubriendo la misma ruta Tame - Arauca, nació una niña. Fue el 15 de Septiembre de 1975 y recibió el nombre de Esther Satena Sánchez Tarazona. Hoy tiene 38 años. No existe ninguna relación de parentesco entre estos dos personajes, salvo el hecho de estar unidos por las circunstancias de su nacimiento y porque los padres de ambos, en honor a la aerolínea, decidieron incorporar la palabra Satena en sus respectivos nombres.

A ella la palabra Satena no acompaña su nombre, pero transcurridos 24 años del suceso, todavía hoy se le ve como la niña que nació en el aire.
