"me quedo" es una afirmación en tiempo presente. Por ejemplo, "me quedo en casa" ( i stay at home) y "Quedarme" se usa más para el futuro. Por ejemplo, "Voy a quedarme en mi casa" ( i will stay at home).

@regoc me quedo means I will stay( your confirming that you’re gonna stay)
Quedarme is future and asking. Future= voy a quedarme con ella.
Asking = Tengo que quedarme? = Do i have to stay?
