@HDGD You asked us how you would translate your sentence into English and we responded. Just by looking at wordreference.com you will see that in English “engallado” means arrogant or haughty.

Collins too
If you felt confident about how you would translate your sentence, you would not have asked here.

@HDGD So with all due respect, next time please don’t ask us how we would translate your Spanish sentence into English if you are going to respond this way. You’re the one that seems to be learning English, not us.

@HDGD: is it possible you meant "engañado" instead of "engallado" or that your local dialect substitutes "ll" for "ñ"? The only Spanish word I know for "decieved" is "engañado". If that's the case, I your sentence means "All this time I have lived deceived". And to answer your other question, no I would not say I'm fluent, and I'm more familiar with the Spanish spoken in Mexico and the southwestern US than in Spain. I understood all of your sentence except "engallado", which is why I asked for synonyms. Thank you, and I hope this helps.
@Inconmensurable So I gathered, but it's a word I'm not familiar with so I asked for clarification. Maybe @HDGD lives somewhere that uses "engallado" in a different way. After all, words often have different connotations or pronunciations in different dialects. I'm certain I know more about English than HDGD, but I also know he speaks better Spanish.
