significan lo mismo solo que agarrar es la que más se utiliza
por ejemplo agarra tu teléfono pero también puedes decir coge tu teléfono la única diferencia es que coger es más correcto pero cotidianamente se dice agarrar

Is the same but for some strange reason for vulgar people in México coger means fuck (coitus) I'm mexican but i hate this. :/
So, if you talk with a mexican better you say agarrar.

The difference is about how strong do you grab a thing. "Agarras " someone/something when you grab it strongly. "Coges" someone/something when you just hold up. Also in Mexico "agarrar" could mean to caught someone/something "coger" is more used to say that you "fuck" someone. So, is not very used with it original meaning. Meanwhile, in Spain could be used as "to get".
Ejemplo:
Yo agarro al ladrón.
Lo agarraron en el baño.
El león le agarró una pierna.
Yo cojo mi chaqueta.
Ella cogió un resfriado.
¿Puedes cogerlo por mí?

Coger es utilizado en el español de España. En México es una palabra vulgar con múltiples significados vulgarmente. Lo correcto es decir: agarrar, tomar, sostener, tocar; de acuerdo al contexto.

"Coger" as "to fuck" or "have sex" is too widespread in Mexico. Don't ever use it as "to take"; use "tomar" or "agarrar" instead.

@pfkw no hay diferencia entre "coger" y "agarrar", en México se usa más la palabra "agarrar", en España es más común usar la palabra "coger" pero su significado es el mismo.
