2022: The ACC Player of the Year had 25 matches in double-digit kills, including three matches with 24 or more kills. A key part to the Cardinals’ success, Claire was named an AVCA First Team All-American, a Final Four All-Tournament honoree, an All-Louisville Regional honoree, the AVCA All-East Region Player of the Year, and the ACC Player of the Year. She led the team in kills with 452 hitting .304 on the year with 1074 attempts. She added in 29 assists, 17 aces, 205 digs, and 44 blocks to lead the team with 493 points. Claire had a career-high 27 kills (.317) in the reverse-sweep at Georgia Tech and had 10 digs to achieve one of her five double-doubles. Other double doubles include 18 K and 10 D vs. Virginia Tech, 15 K and 11 D vs. Wake Forest, 17 K and 10 D vs. Pitt, and 11 K and 12 D vs. Baylor. Claire continued to put up big hitting percentage numbers from the leftside, hitting over .400 seven different times: (.414 vs. Ohio State 13-1-29), (.722 vs. Lipscomb 13-0-18), (.548 vs. Clemson 19-2-31), (.455 vs. Virginia Tech 18-3-33), (.441 vs. Notre Dame 16-1-34), (.421 vs. Samford .9-1-19), (.429 vs. Pitt in the Tournament 25-4-49). She had a season-high four blocks two times, one against UNC and one against Purdue in the Tournament.

2021: Named to the All-Louisville Regional team, HM AVCA All-East Region team, and All-ACC Second Team. She had 14 matches in double digit kills. Is strong against ranked opponents with 16 and 17 kills in the two matches with No 3/4 Pitt, 11 kills vs No. 13/18 Georgia Tech, 18 kills versus No. 8 Kentucky and 11 versus No. 1 Wisconsin. Nationally ranked in kills per set (2.84), Has two double/doubles with 10 K and 13 D vs. Arizona State; 12 K and 12 D vs Wake Forest. Had a seven-point serving run at Miami.  She has the ability to put up big hitting percentage numbers from the left side: (.778 vs. Duke 7-0-9), (.667 vs. Xavier 17-1-24), (.619 vs. Florida State 14-1-21), (.414 at Pitt 16-4-29). Had three matches with double digit digs including season high 13 at Arizona State. Had four blocks at NC State. She was invited to the US National Team Open Program. Named to All ACC Academic team, the ACC Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

2020: (pronounced CHAW-say) She has been a starter and a spark off the bench offensively. She played in 53 sets with 146 kills, averaging 2.75 per set. She has 11 assists, eight aces, 85 digs and 23 blocks. She had her best regular season match came against Wake Forest when she had 16 kills and hit .714. She came off the bench against San Diego and led the Cards with a career-high 21 kills, she added an assist, two aces, and 8 digs. She had 13 kills, two digs and four blocks in the Sweet Sixteen match versus Washington.  Her classroom performance is strong as well. She is a member of the 2020 ACC Honor Roll, AD Honor Roll (Fall 2019, Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021) and a Dean's Scholar (Spring 2020).

2019: A valued reserve, Claire took over as a starter for the injured Melanie McHenry on the left side on Oct. 15 during the Notre Dame match. Averaging 2.75 kills per set, she had 13 matches in double-digit kills, led by a season high 19 at Miami and at Florida State. She notched four double-doubles with 12 kills and 12 digs at Notre Dame, 11 kills and a season-high 13 digs at Virginia Tech. In the home match against Miami, she had 13 kills and 11 digs and had 14 kills and 12 digs at Pitt. Against Texas A&M, she hit .344 (15-4-32) and hit .435 versus Notre Dame (12-2-23). In the NCAA match against Western Kentucky, she had 14 kills, hit .270 with two aces, nine digs and a block to lead the Cardinals to their first Elite Eight Appearance. Claire was named to the ACC Honor Roll.


2018: Claire Chaussee had 89 kills, hitting .200 with five aces, 27 digs and five blocks in a total of 40 sets played. She came in to start left side when Melanie McHenry sprained her knee and had five straight matches of double digit kills with a season high of 16 kills for .393 hitting (16-5-28). She had a season-high six digs versus Florida State. She earned ACC Freshman of the Week Honors when she tallied 31 kills on a .296 hitting percentage, eight digs and six total blocks In a 3-1 win over Miami.

Prep: Claire Chaussee, played club at Capital Volleyball Academy 18 adidas, where she was coached by Mark Rushton.  She played high school ball at Sun Prairie High School for Coach T.J. Rantala where she was a four-time first team all-conference performer  and was named the 2016 and 2017 Big 8 Player of the Year.  She earned honorable mention All-State honors as a freshman and third team All-State as a sophomore before earning First Team All-State kudos as both a junior and senior.  She reached 1,000 career kills in 2016 and, in 2017 she reached the all-time kill mark in Sun Prairie School history with 1,882. She helped lead her squad to the Regional Championships four consecutive years and to a Sectional Championship in 2016. For her club, she was ranked in the Senior Aces Top 250.

If she won the lottery, she would use the money to: travel and every place she would travel she would use the money to give to the community.
She knew she was good at her sport: When her sister’s club director asked her to play on the 13s team when she was ten.
