2021-22 (Junior) 
Indoor

• Broke a 17-year-old record and set a career-best in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.72 seconds at the C-USA Championship, landing him in first place in the finals (2/20/22).
• Placed 14th at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships for a time of 21.49 second in the 200-meter dash (3/11/22).
• Took first place in the 60-meter dash at the C-USA Championship with a time of 6.72 seconds.
• Set a career-best of 6.67 seconds in the 60-meter dash at the Samford Bulldog Invitational (2/11/22).
• Earned first place for the 60 meter and 200 meter dashes at the Samford Bulldog Open (2/12/22).

Outdoor

• Placed 12^th in the men’s 200-meter semifinals at the NCAA OTF Championships with a time of 20.44 seconds (06/09/22).
• Took 16^th place in the mens 100-meter semifinals at the NCAA OTF Championships with a time of 10.25 seconds (06/09/22).
• Ran a blistering time of 10.04 seconds in the men’s 100-meter dash which became a program record C-USA meet record, and UTSA’s Park West Stadium record (5/14/22).
• Improved on his outdoor 200-meter program record with a time of 20.26 seconds at the NCAA East Preliminaries (5/28/22).
• Erased the UTSA Park West Stadium record in the men’s 200-meter dash with a time of 20.36 seconds, earning him gold in the C-USA Championships (5/14/22).
• Was the third leg of the men’s sprint medley squad that took gold during the Penn Relays with a time of 3:24.70 (4/29/22).
• Took second at the Georgia Tech Invitational in the men’s 200-meter dash with a time of 20.34 seconds, erasing Roland McGhee’s previous program record from 1994 (04/23/22).
• Earned gold at the War Eagle Invitational in the men’s 100-meter dash with a time of 10.09 seconds (04/16/22).
• During the Tennessee Relays’ Power Hour, Akintola took first with a time of 21.04 seconds in the pouring rain (04/08/22).
• Set/reset three program records and two stadium records during the outdoor season.
• Placed first nine times during the season, and top-five 14 times.
