Esta investigación constituye una apuesta por el estudio de los grupos de poder, a partir de la caracterización del momento del libre comercio. Ante el "agotamiento discursivo" en torno al "ajuste estructural", la nueva apuesta de los grupos de poder fue centrarse en una nueva "remodelación normativa" a partir de acuerdos comerciales bilaterales y multilaterales. Un eje central en este nuevo "momento" lo constituye el Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) con los Estados Unidos (EE. UU.), que ha creado nuevas "juridiccionalidades" a través de los cuales se han abierto nuevos espacios para la acumulación: derechos de propiedad, protección de las inversiones, seguros, telecomunicaciones, y biodiversidad, entre otros. It focuses on the characterization of the free trade agreement phase. Given the "discursive exhaustion" caused by the "structural adjustment", power groups have focused on a new "normative redesign" of the state through bilateral and multilateral agreements. In this sense, the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) has been central in creating new "jurisdictions" with which new social spaces have been created for capitalist accumulation such us property rights, investment protection, insurance, telecommunications and biodiversity, among others.
