This game is definetly something, but i think its really charming for an early 6th Gen console Survival-Horror game, story follows Eliot Ballade and Dogs Bower in 2018, when an asteroid hits Dinosaur Island, an island on the Yucutan Peninsula which was made in 2000 after a previous meteor hit that same area.
A bit convoluted just like the end result of this catastrophe, Alien-Zombie Dinosaur Mutant People... And poorly translated cutscenes featuring a fair chunk of the Sonic Adventure voicecast, including John St John, not as Dogs but as that guy on the boat who gets sphere'd in the opening cutscene! I cant explain what that means... But all of this absurdity leads to it kind of having a B-Movie quality to it, which is fitting seeing how Climax Graphic's next dreamcast title would follow in the steps of that...
One thing i really found surprising is apparently the characters are very high poly, like higher than PS2/GC/Xbox games that would come years later, which i was shocked to hear about, i mean the models seemed impressive at the time for their ability to move their eyes, digits (fingers) and mouths in real time cutscenes, but i didnt expect these characters to outperform GTA San Andreas characters in polycount, just a bit of a case of something not aging well whilst still being ahead of its time.
I Reccomend Blue Stinger to those craving a really campy B-Movie Horror experience, especially if you're a fan of Illbleed.

This game has such a bizarre candy-coloured look for the first part of the game that gets even more strange with all the Christmas stuff when it's a survival horror game.
Not to mention it was promoted as Dreamcast's answer to "Resident Evil". Hoo boy.
ngl i kinda agree with doubloon but i think its a good game, it really pushed limitations of the time and now has kinda aged into an accidental masterpiece of B-Movie Horror games.

What I’d give for a sequel.
