1985, Fabbri Ferrari F1 Collection, Ferrari, IXO, Michele Alboreto

1985 Ferrari 156/85 Alboreto

The Ferrrai 156/85 was designed by Mauro Forghieri and Harvey Postlethwaite for use by Scuderia Ferrari in the 1985 Formula One World Championship. The number 27 car was driven by Italian Michele Alboreto, while the number 28 car was driven at the first race of the season in Brazil by Frenchman René Arnoux, who then fell out with Enzo Ferrari and was replaced for the rest of the year by Swede Stefan Johansson. 1985 would prove to be Alboreto’s most successful year in Formula One. He took two wins: the first at the Canadian Grand Prix, and the second at the German Grand Prix. Alboreto led the points table until Round 11 at Zandvoort, but Ferrari unreliability in the second half of the season diminished his chances for the title. Alboreto finished the season in second place with 53 points, 20 points behind World Champion Alain Prost.
