Don't get caught in the dark without a light. Head lamps are universally used by fly fishing guides who get on the water early, leave after the oh-dark-thirty hatch or camp on the water. Rarely do you see any experienced campers packing hand-held flashlights for work lights. Head lamps are much more efficient because they automatically point where you are looking, and your hands are free to carry out any task.
The Quarrow 80 lumen LED Head Lamp is comfortable to wear, very bright and incredibly tough. I stuck mine in the back compartment of my drift boat, then forgot where I put it and it made three round trips bouncing on the Deschutes access road. It was after the trip ended that the light was found. One would expect that the light would have been beat to pieces. In fact, it showed very little wear and still works perfectly. It is the exact same light featured in all these pictures (notice the worn spot under the light in the profile picture. Look close).
Buy one, you know you are going to need it. Then buy a second one, in case you forget where you stashed the first one.
