ABSTRACT:
In this practice, the titration and standardization of hydrochloric acid was performed at 0.20007 N, this
as initialization to primary standards which was used in this acid-base volumetric practice. The
quantification was carried out by neutralization. For this purpose, a base that is strong was used. As is
the case with sodium hydroxide, which is previously standardized at 0.247 N, its relative advantages
should be taken into account, since it is strongly ionized and makes it easier to assess, since it is
stable in light and air environments and does not form insoluble salts in its titration. , also, it is a
strong, non-oxidizing acid, the solute is not volatile in the concentrations used in acidimetry of the
order 0.1 to 0.2 N.
