Jatiya Party lawmaker and the son of deceased military dictator HM Ershad, Rahgir Almahe Ershad (Shad Ershad) has been appointed the joint secretary general of the party.
Saad was appointed as the joint secretary general as per section 20/1/a of the party charter, the party chief’s Press and Political Secretary Sunil Shubho Rai said on Tuesday (Oct 29).
He added that the appointment was in effect immediately.
Shad was elected the lawmaker for Rangpur-3 after the seat fell vacant following the death of Jatiya Party founder HM Ershad.
