Meaning of "lunfardo" in the Spanish dictionary

The lunfardo is a jargon originated and developed in the city of Buenos Aires, capital of the Argentine Republic, and its conurbano, and from there extended in not many years to other nearby cities, like Rosario and Montevideo, cities that lived a socio-cultural situation Very similar, largely due to the huge immigration - from almost all of Europe, but mainly Italian and Spanish - to that area, which occurred in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Así originariamente esta jerga era empleada por los delincuentes y pronto lo fue por la gente de las clases baja y media baja.
