Meaning of "abusión" in the Spanish dictionary

Catacresis or abusion is a rhetorical figure that consists in using metaphorically a word to designate a reality that lacks a specific term. Thus, for example, we speak of a watering hole or a black hole, knowing that it is not a mouth or a hole, but without an alternative non-metaphorical term to designate these realities. La catacresis o abusión es una figura retórica que consiste en utilizar metafóricamente una palabra para designar una realidad que carece de un término específico. Así, hablamos por ejemplo de boca de riego o de agujero negro, a sabiendas de que no se trata propiamente de una boca ni de un agujero, pero sin que tengamos como alternativa otro término no metafórico para designar a esas realidades.
