Edgar Mueller
Edgar Mueller is a famous chalk artist. He was born in Mulheim/Ruhr on the 10th of July 1968. Edgar grew up in Straelen a rural city on the western edge of Germany. As a child seeing rural paintings scenes of his home town Straelen began his fascination of paintings. Edgar in his teen years had to go to school in the neighboring town of Geldern.
At the high school of Geldern was an international street art competition took place. Inspired by the works of art that meet he while on his way to school inspired him so he decided to enter himself into this competition. The first competition Edgar took part in was when he was 16. At age 19 he won the street competition with a copy of the famous “Jesus at Emmaus”. After his victory the years that followed it Edgar entered many other international competitions. Edgar Muller has held the title ‘maestro madonnari’ or master street painter since 1998 an award only given to few artists worldwide.
