| Description |
Copelandia cyanescens (Berk. & Broome) Singer Image location: Alligator creek, Queensland, Australia Found growing in cow dung covered loosely in damp leaf litter, mycelium and some fruits by extension were growing on the leaves as well as the dung. But primarily on dung. Bruised blue indicating it was an active species. Location was on a hill around allot of wind though in this particular spot it was quite sheltered. If was found a week after a week long rain storm. All evidence points to textbook pan cyan. Recognized by sight: Definite copelandia/panaeolus by overal form and jet black gills, blue bruising confirmed it was an active species Used references: Made ID request on shroomery, received a response from a reputable identifier Based on chemical features: Blue bruising indicates psilocin, narrowing possible species
