Allura Leggard

Allura Leggard joined CNY Central as a Multimedia Journalist in June 2021.

Allura is a recent Ithaca College graduate (Go Bombers!) who majored in journalism with a minor in African diaspora. While at Ithaca she interned with the NBC news desk and the specials unit and worked as a reporter for WKNO FM to cover Super Tuesday in 2020. She was an anchor and reporter for her college television station's #1 news show and created and co-hosted a sports show called ‘Undercovered’ on her college radio station, VIC.

Since entering college Allura found that she loved the art of storytelling. She loves being part of the CNY team and enjoys hearing people's stories and wants to get to know the Syracuse community.

Allura is originally from Sag Harbor in Long Island. She loves the beach and is a huge Knicks fan. Along with her love for basketball, she is also a huge track and field fan and has been running since she was five years old and continued running as a sprinter in college.
