The Playstation PS Vita Console And Little Big Planet Marvel Super Hero Edition, The Muppets Movie Adventure And Invizimals Game {Review}

So I was given the Playstation PS Vita and asked to review it along with a few games for my 4-year old daughter. I am always a bit careful with these things… I have a bit of a game addiction problem. I once bunked  college and played GTA  IV for  about seven days straight… I hardly slept and when I did sleep I dreamt I was in the game… And then I discovered Boulder’s Gate, and then the struggle got real… so yeah… I thought I would get hubby and Mikayla’s input on this seeing as I cannot be trusted to ever put it down!

Little Big Planet Playstation PS Vita Marvel Edition Caffeine and Fairydust Review

Cole: I had a very hard time putting this game down. The game play is immersive and I love the way you can dress Sack Boy up as Iron Man! The touch screen (front and back) use in this game really helps it stay fun and entertaining. Pulling and pushing blocks and switches to get you through the levels is a blast! Go buy it, don’t look back! Love, love, love! It’s the kind of game you start playing and then 5 hours later your food is cold. 8/10

Mikayla:  I love it! I want to play it now Dad, I need to collect all the glass balls! Can I play it? Can I play it?

The Muppets Movie Adventure

Cole: I loved The Muppets as a child, this game unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. It’s a side-scrolling running-jumping game. When I started playing, I thought: “This is could be cool…” and then 5 minutes later I lost interest and started playing a game on my phone. The controls and game play also take a bit of getting used to and are a bit advanced for kids. I’d give it a 3/10.

Maz: I hate the Muppets. Sorry.

Mikayla: It made me a little bit tired and I wanted to play the other game. Boring. (Little Big Planet)

Invizimals – The Resistance

Invizimals The Alliance Playstation Vita Caffeine and Fairydust Review

Cole: The only cool part was seeing a 3D animal walking around the kitchen counter. The fighting controls are limited and delayed. Fun to look at but terrible to play, definitely too frustrating to even get past the second stage. 2/10

Maz: This InviZimals on PS Vita uses all the features of the handheld console, but they are quite difficult to understand for children… and beyond capturing creatures with those mini-games, the battle system is still pretty uninteresting.

Mikayla: It’s a little bit hard and I don’t want to play with it.

And last, but not least… The Playstation PS Vita Game Console…

The PS Vita is quite comfortable to hold and the buttons feel really good to push. The rear touch screen is really cool. Being able to push things toward you from behind the screen adds a whole new range of motions to the gaming world. I look forward to playing games which take full advantage of this feature! The battery life (as always) could be better although you get about 3 to 5 hours of game play time. You can also watch movies, surf the web, listen to music or download apps. The PS Vita is a lot of fun for the whole family!
