TOWSON, Md. – A career day brings a career achievement for Towson graduate attackman Nick DeMaio, who has been honored as the USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Player of the Week.

The Player of the Week is selected by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors, encompassing all players across the country.

DeMaio's career-day helped Towson to a dominant 17-5 victory over Navy on Saturday, the second straight win for the Tigers.  Yesterday, DeMaio was selected as the CAA Offensive Player of the Week.

The starting attack from San Diego earned nine points on Saturday off four goals and five assists, the first nine-point game for a Tiger since 2019.  It is tied for the most amount of points in a game by a Tiger since Thomas DeNapoli had 10 points vs. UMBC on March 19, 2013.

The last Towson player to earn a National Player of the Week was Brendan Sunday.  Sunday was honored as The Baltimore Sun National Player of the Week on March 1, 2019.

Towson hits the road to play at Saint Joseph's on Friday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m.
