This 2017 Mitsubishi Fuso Canter was acquired by the current owner in 2020 and subsequently converted to an overland-style camper. The truck is finished in gray, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-four send power to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission and a single-speed transfer case. Amenities include cab air conditioning, cruise control, reverse and side-view cameras, and a Sony touchscreen infotainment system. The camper is outfitted with a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a dinette that converts to a bed as well as an 810-watt solar panel array, a 600Ah Relion house battery, Victron power management, Cruise N Comfort air conditioning, a Planar air heater, a water filtration system, and an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. Service in 2023 involved reprogramming the ECU as well as repairing a turbocharger oil drain tube and an air temperature sensor circuit. Starlink wiring is installed, but a receiver is not included. The finish on the right-front bumper cap is peeling.
Black 19.5″ steel wheels are mounted with 285/70 Toyo Hyparadial tires that are said to have been installed under current ownership, while a matching spare is secured at the back of the camper. Stopping power is from four-wheel drum brakes, and the truck is equipped with replacement leaf springs and shock absorbers as well as solid axles, manually locking front hubs, and a Levelmate Pro automatic leveling system.
The cab houses two heated Scheel-Mann bucket seats trimmed in black leather along with a gray dash, door panels, and carpets. Additional features air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and locks, sound damping material, a Furrion monitor linked to reverse and side-view cameras, and a Sony touchscreen infotainment system.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a central digital display, a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 4,200-rpm redline, and a fuel-level gauge. The digital odometer indicates 4k, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The living quarters are outfitted with perimeter and under-cabinet lighting, woodgrain flooring, an audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and OJAS-tuned JBL speakers, storage drawers, a wardrobe closet, and Outbound windows with integrated screens and privacy shades. Climate control gear consists of Cruise N Comfort air conditioning, a Planar air heater, and two Maxxair power-operated ceiling vents. The kitchenette is equipped with composite countertops, a Dometic refrigerator/freezer, a Krauss stainless steel sink, an induction cooktop, and 120-volt power outlets.
The dining area can be configured as a sleeping surface and features wraparound bench seats trimmed in Maharam gray cloth upholstery, a dining table with an adjustable mount, and under-seat storage. The wet-bath bathroom is outfitted with a shower and a Wrappon waste-sealing toilet. A system panel within the wardrobe closet houses gauges for the holding tanks as well as controls for the solar system, air conditioner, and power equipment.
The Mitsubishi Fuso 4P10 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-four is accessible underneath the tilting cab and was factory rated at 161 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Fuel is stored in a custom 56-gallon fuel tank. Service under current ownership included reprogramming the ECU as well as repairing a turbocharger oil drain tube and an air temperature sensor circuit.
