This Pontiac GTO got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1965 Pontiac GTO hardtop is powered by a 400ci V8 that was installed under prior ownership and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car spent more than 30 years with its prior owner, and it was refurbished in the 1990s. The car is finished in maroon and equipped with a hood scoop, Rally I–style wheels, an Edelbrock carburetor, long-tube exhaust headers, a Hurst shifter, and a concealed Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit. Acquired by the selling dealer in early 2024, this modified GTO is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, records dating back to 1988, refurbishment photos, and New Hampshire registration.

Finished from the factory in Burgundy (N-N), the car was repainted in 1989 following bodywork and rust repair. Exterior details include a hood scoop, stacked headlights, GTO badging, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint scratches are noted around the car along with flaking paint on the tail panel.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. The Hurst shifter is topped with a cue-ball-style knob, and GTO-branded rubber mats line the footwells. An inoperative AM/FM radio remains in the factory location, and a Pioneer CD head unit is positioned in the glove compartment. Cracks in the dash pad and pitting on the brightwork are shown up close in the gallery below.

The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
