I feel like I have deja vu? Have I written about this game before? Feels like it but can’t find anything……oh well.

I don’t think there are many people who dislike mini golf; it’s courses are usually inhabited with fun settings, like windmills or water hazards or other wacky things to shoot a golf ball through; it’s a great family activity. So, a video game based around that should be pretty cool, no?

You would think so. But, the mechanics have to be right and they are just so wrong. The controls are awful; I think I’d rather be my 5 year old daughter trying to swing a golf club on an actual mini golf course than use the controls for this game. They are completely unintuitive. You have to line up your shot by aiming a target but it doesn’t go in any direction that would seem logical. And half the shots you line up, never get to their intended target.

Couple that with the fact that you play on a 9 hole course but 3 of the holes are repeated because the game designers only came up with 6 holes and you’ve got quite a craptastic experience awaiting you. Mini golf is supposed to be fun but this game missed the point. Not recommended.
