Kat Agarrado, lead vocalist of Filipino band SinoSikat, has been wowing audiences at The Finch Rhythm and Brews bar in Mumbai with her sultry voice and her band’s music.
Agarrado and the band have been performing at The Finch since December 22 and will complete the tour on New Year’s Eve. The singer has impressed locals with her sultry voice and soulful sound, Business Standard reported.
In their homeland, SinoSikat, founded by Agarrado in 2004, have been called the pioneers of the “Filipino soul” genre. Their music is a fusion of jazz, soul, funk, and rhythm and blues.
In 2007, the band released their first album, and Agarrado won Vocalist of the Year at the NU Rock Awards in the Philippines. They have performed in several countries such as Australia, Vietnam, Japan and the US, as well as in Europe.
The singer was contacted through her Facebook fan page that she should perform at The Finch. Agarrado and her band decided to go to Mumbai as it would be their first time performing in India.
