Sony was first working with Nintendo to create a CD add-on for the SNES. It's a long story, but Nintendo eventually scrapped the idea and Sony developed the PlayStation instead. Wise choice!

This gorgeous little light gray box was at the forefront of pushing 3D gaming to its limit during this era, and stood the test of time against all of its competitors worldwide for years, regardless if the other machines were more powerful... and did so until Sony followed it with the mighty, mighty PlayStation 2.

The entire PlayStation collection I've gathered together is massive and in 4 parts. This archive is part 2 of 4, featuring titles that start with the letters H-P. It only contains single disc titles or the occasional multi-disc titles that did not require swapping.

Unreleased prototypes, games not in English (but only if they were easy enough to play without being fluent in another language), English-patched translations, plus these extras: "Head to Toe" 1-4, "L'Arc-en-Ciel: Light my Fire," "Laser Clean," "Lyapis Trubetskoy," "Nakajima Miyuki: Namiromu," "Neon Genesis Evangelion: Original Screen Saver," "Net Yaroze Boot Disc," "Official Fan Book: Circadia Special CD-ROM," "Official Yarudora Fan Book: Double Cast CD-ROM Special Data-shuu," "Official Yarudora Fan Book: Kisetsu o Dakishimete," "Official Yarudora Fan Book: Sampaguita," "Official Yarudora Fan Book: Yukiwari no Hana CD-ROM Special Data-shuu," "Online Connection CD for the PlayStation Game Console," "Philosoma Art Book Movie CD-ROM," "Planet Dob," "PlayStation Developer's Demo Disc," "PlayStation Planet: Hackerz CD," "Pocket PowerStation PlayStation Cheats CD," "Pocket Tuner," "PS-X-Change Version 2.0," and "Puffy no P.S. I Love You." None of these extras are "games" in the typical sense - They contain multimedia programs, PlayStation applications, and game-altering software that I believe is important to preserve. If you're only after the actual games in this set, feel free to delete those titles named above.

Items removed:
Non-working dumps, duplicates, versions not in English when English was available, Japanese and European versions of titles when a North American version was available, hacks, homebrew games, and titles not in English that require proficiency in another language to play - Those can be found in my "Sony PlayStation Language Pack" here: archive.org/details/language-pack-sony-playstation-champion-collection.

Release notes:

This is a complete re-work of my previous Sony PlayStation set, which I did a couple years back. It was a bit messy and lots of new rips have been found out in the wild since then. I've hand-tested these new additions, added 407 more titles overall, upgraded several others to newer revisions, and organized the files much, much cleaner than last time - They can even be placed all together in one folder and nothing will get mixed up! There are some rhythm games that have append discs found in the multi disc collection that also have the key (or first) disc included (just to be thorough), but you're welcome to overwrite any of the key discs found in the multi disc set with the ones included here or vice versa - The .cue files are set up to work just the same for both versions of the game regardless.

However, I strongly suggest storing the single disc collection in a separate folder instead, for ease of use. You'll want to import the m3u (playlist) files into your emulator rather than the individual .cue files for the multi discs, or they will not load / swap discs properly. Keeping these in a separate folder will make it much easier to import the titles in two different batches - The multi disc set (via .m3u) and single disc set (via .cue).

You should notice a couple games that look like duplicates - Both the NA and JP version of "Motor Toon Grand Prix" are included because the NA version is actually an English translation of the Japanese game "Motor Toon Grand Prix 2," but it was released under the first game's name instead.
