Launched with the Sega Dreamcast in 1998, the Sega Visual Memory System (VMS) was a combination memory card/standalone game console. Designed to Serve as an auxiliary display unit, the Sega VMS contained it's own CPU, flash memory, batteries, and is capable of running games/applications when not attached to the Sega Dreamcast.
