'The time in Beijing is the time in China according to the time zones of the country, but this «time» is also the clear sign of the appearance of China as a great world power. This exhibition project, curated by Fang Zhenning and Menene Gras, Director of Culture and Exhibitions of Casa Asia, brings together the recent work of 17 Chinese artists based in Beijing.[...]

Through this tour, the display proposes a panoramic vision of the contemporary creation in the country, through diverse formats, from photography and video installations to cinema or performances, without forgetting digital drawing or photography[...]

The backdrop is the great transformation that has been produced in the Chinese society in the last two decades and that has been more pronounced in the city. This is one of the stars of the exhibition, as well as topic and scenario of many of the works.' - from Casa Asia website
