Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– On the heels of yesterday’s Tulip casting, AMC has added another member to the cast of Preacher. In what is a bit of a surreal sentence to write, Arseface has been cast, and it is 18 year old Ian Colletti. Poor kid is going to be buried under makeup and given incomprehensible dialogue. Casting news seems to be coming out pretty consistently right now, so expect a Jesse Custer announcement within a week or two.

– “Afterlife with Archie” has been one of the most pleasant surprises in comics over the past few years, and Archie has committed to doing more of the same, launching the new “Archie Horror” imprint, which will initially publish three titles: “Afterlife,” “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” and an unnamed third title, set to feature a female character from the Archie books.

Supergirl has added yet another character to the pilot: Owain Yeoman, best known for his work on The Mentalist, has joined the pilot as Vartox, a C-list super villain who has been featured in both Superman and Supergirl stories. It appears that he will have a cameo in the pilot, and would have a larger role if the show went to series.

– Netflix has released yet another Daredevil trailer, as the show’s debut inches closer and closer.

– Paul Feig has uttered the single greatest paragraph ever recorded in human history, and not just for fans of Charles Schultz’s cartooning: “It’s [the upcoming Peanuts film] very sweet. It’s totally a G-rated movie, because you can’t get edgy with Charlie Brown. That was the Schulz family’s fear, that me and Fox everybody were gonna come in and hip it up and cast Justin Bieber as Charlie Brown and have it like ‘Space Jam’ or something. All of us were like, ‘No.’ We cast kids that sound exactly like the kids you remember from the specials. It’s very pure of heart.” The film hits theaters in November.

– Two new roles in Deadpool have been revealed: TJ Miller will be playing Weasel, and Morena Baccarin will be playing Copycat.

– Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory wants to play the Riddler in a Batman film. Hasn’t he hurt my culture enough?

– Sorry folks, it looks like there won’t be a sequel to Dread.

– And, finally, we reported last year about the death of our friend Jeremy Dale. Well, this weekend there is a special ‘drink and draw’ at SC Comicon in his honor. If you’re in that area, head to the event and donate to a good cause. RIP Jeremy.
