Spanish Verb ALZAR: to lift

The Spanish verb alzar means 'to lift' and is an irregular Spanish ZAR verb.

To remember this, imagine you lift AL the TSAR!

Spanish verb alzar - to lift alzar can also mean: to raise, to pick up, to put up.
alzarse: to get up, to rise; to rise up (rebel).
alzado/a (adj): raised, lifted; in/on heat (animals); uppity, cocky (coll).

you informal vos replaces - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular ZAR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
